Tom shares his passion for movement with all of his clients. A lifelong athlete that has overcome many adversities, he is extremely empathetic with everything that an injured athlete has to face. Tom combines his broad background in sports orthopedics with his focused attention to detail in all aspects of endurance sports to optimize performance results. To him, Functional Medicine provides an avenue to explore different treatment approaches.
With over 15 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy, Tom has a knack for catching even the slightest of asymmetries in movement patterns. A biomechanics nerd, Tom specializes in identification and correction of abnormalities in the running cycle. In fact, if you ask him anything about running, you are sure to see the fire light up in his eyes; he lives for the stuff! In looking at the “bigger picture,” Tom treats his clients in a wholistic manner, noting that the human body is a series of interconnected systems and nothing can be left ignored.
Playing multiple sports as a young athlete, Tom found his niche through distance running in high school. He walked on a team in college and has been able to sustain a racing schedule post-collegiately, despite facing multiple comebacks from various fractures and surgeries. Over the past year, in the interest of chasing a long-held dream, Tom began to train and compete in ultra marathon distance events in the hopes of finding sponsorship. He still hopes to be a professional athlete one day!
